Delivered a Capital Projects Governance Portal for a QLD Government-owned generation and renewables business, with the solution focused on:

  • Managing Front End Loading (FEL) deliverables, reviews & funding endorsements
  • Portfolio-wide sustaining capital works and major maintenance works
  • Dashboard reporting

The solution connects the organisation’s project controls and governance teams, development managers, project managers, asset GMs, and heads of engineering and delivery through a workflow-enabled, single-point governance and portfolio dashboarding solution

Process Overview

As part of portfolio optimisation, initiatives are captured and progress through structured review and approval workflows to allocate them to approved funding sources. Project delivery and investment governance is subsequently managed within the tool from concept to close-out. Using client-configurable deliverable templates and delegations of authority, project deliverables are collaboratively developed and project funding is formally approved in alignment with an organisation’s project phase-gate / Front End Loading (FEL) methodology—ensuring consistent governance, transparency, and reliable decision-making.

Technical Overview

Leveraging an organisation’s Microsoft 365 tenant, solution components are deployed directly into the client environment and delivered through an integrated approach with client IT teams to meet governance, security, and compliance requirements. End users manage initiatives, funding, and project deliverables via SharePoint and Power BI, while reviewers and approvers use Microsoft Teams to receive automated notifications, tasks, and approvals through adaptive cards and integrated connectors.
