Work Order Scheduling

Powered by Oracle Primavera P6, Team Member and JD Edwards.

This refinery company engaged us to streamline operations by integrating their Work Order and Planning systems. This integrated solution was implemented to improve the management of maintenance activities across the refinery site.

The integration established a seamless link between ERP and project scheduling, providing greater visibility into work execution and resource planning. As part of the rollout, Primavera’s Team Member application was introduced, enabling supervisors in the field to record progress directly into the schedule. This approach supports better coordination between planning and operations, enhances forecasting accuracy, and promotes a more transparent and efficient delivery of maintenance programs

Process Overview

Work Order operations are automatically generated in Primavera P6 whenever a Work Order’s status changes in JD Edwards. Each week, planners schedule these operations and define the upcoming two‑week plan. The schedule is then synchronized back to JD Edwards to prepare for Work Order printing. On a daily basis, Site Supervisors record progress using Primavera’s Team Member application, and this data is likewise synchronized with JD Edwards to support forecast reporting.

Technical Overview

The client’s integration middleware (Red Hat Fuse) enables synchronization of data between the two systems, triggered by status events and managed through each application’s REST APIs.
